Noise Effects in Quantum Magic Squares Game

چکیده
Quantum game theory, the subclass of game theory that involves quantum phenomena, lies at the crossroads of physics, quantum information processing, computer and natural sciences. Thanks to entanglement, quantum players can sometimes accomplish tasks that are impossible for their classical counterparts. In this paper we present the detailed analysis of one of the pseudo-telepathy games. These games provide simple, yet nontrivial, examples of quantum games that can be used to show the effects of quantum non-local correlations. Roughly speaking, a game belongs to the pseudo-telepathy class if it admits no winning strategy for classical players, but it admits a winning strategy provided the players share the sufficient amount of entanglement. This phenomenon is called pseudo-telepathy, because it would appear as magical to a classical player, yet it has quantum theoretical explanation.

Enhancing Pseudo-Telepathy in the Magic Square Game
We study the possibility of reversing an action of a quantum channel. Our principal objective is to find a specific channel that reverses as accurately as possible an action of a given quantum channel. To achieve this goal we use semidefinite programming. We show the benefits of our method using the quantum pseudo-telepathy Magic Square game with noise. Our strategy is to move the pseudo-telepa...
متن کاملThe robustness of magic state distillation against errors in Clifford gates
Quantum error correction and fault-tolerance have provided the possibility for large scale quantum computations without a detrimental loss of quantum information. A very natural class of gates for fault-tolerant quantum computation is the Clifford gate set and as such their usefulness for universal quantum computation is of great interest. Clifford group gates augmented by magic state preparati...
متن کاملLeast Squares Analysis of Noise-Free Tides Using Energy Conservation and Relative Concentration of Periods Criteria
In this article, a new approach to tidal harmonic analysis is introduced. This approach incorporates more constituents in the least squares method for a fixed duration of noise-free tidal record and results in a more accurate tidal prediction. Moreover, it is demonstrated that 135 days of hourly data, which is significantly less than 369 days data in the Rayleigh criterion, is sufficient for th...
متن کاملModulation Response and Relative Intensity Noise Spectra in Quantum Cascade Lasers
Static properties, relatively intensity noise and intensity modulation response in quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) studied theoretically in this paper. The present rate equations model consists of three equations for the electrons density in the conduction band and one equation for photons density in cavity length. Two equations were derived to calculate the noise and modulation response. Calcula...
متن کاملRandom Matrices, Magic Squares and Matching Polynomials
Characteristic polynomials of random unitary matrices have been intensively studied in recent years: by number theorists in connection with Riemann zetafunction, and by theoretical physicists in connection with Quantum Chaos. In particular, Haake and collaborators have computed the variance of the coefficients of these polynomials and raised the question of computing the higher moments. The ans...
